Alsager: Not available

WARRINGTON Town came unstuck against Alsager Town as they suffered their first defeat in four games.
The odds were certainly stacked against Town as they missed a penalty, had their goalkeeper sent off and were sunk by a controversial second goal.
Both teams began the game well in a tight first half, with Ellison going close for the home side with a snap shot effort.
Much of Alsager’s good work was created with a direct style of play, but Coyne and Elder managed to deal with the threat and the game entered half time all square.
The second half was only six minutes old when Smith was pushed in the box and The Wire were awarded a penalty.
Smith dusted himself off to take it, but his tame effort was saved by Alsager keeper Conkie.
Things got worse for Town as keeper Morton was given his marching orders for handling outside the area.
Elder took the gloves for Town, who went one nil down moments later when he spilled a shot at the feet of Whittaker, and the striker prodded home from close range.
Coyne then missed a good opportunity to bring the home side level when he found himself unmarked in the box, only to fire his header wide of the target.
Alsager then doubled their lead in controversial fashion when Proffitt looked to be in an offside position, but the assistant referee’s flag stayed down and he went onto finish well.
Town introduced Phil Mitchell off the bench soon after, and he forced Conkie into an excellent save from a free kick.
Edwards also came off the bench to make his debut for The Wire after signing in midweek.
None off the substitutes could make the necessary impact as Town slumped a two nil home defeat.
